  2. Take 4 cup cooked rice

  7. Take 1 tsp sugar

Curd rice, also called Thayir Sadam, is a dish from south India. It is considered a comfort food by many. Curd rice is usually served at the end of the meal to combat the spiciness of the dinner. Simple Curd Rice can be prepared with steamed rice and plain curd or with additional tempering of urad dal, mustard seeds, chillies, coriander leaves and steamed rice.

Instructions to make Curd rice:
  1. Dry roast the peanuts. And after cooling down remove the outer skin.
  2. Dry roast the cumin seeds and 1 dry red chilli and make powder of it.
  3. Mix ginger, chopped onion, coriander leaves, chilli, salt and sugar in the curd.
  4. Mix it well. Then add cooked rice in it.
  5. Heat a tadka pan put oil and then then add asafoetida and punch phoran in it.
  6. When the mustard in the punch phoran crackle then add the curry leaves and dry red chilli in it. Fry it for 30 seconds and switch off the flame.
  7. Mix rest of the ingredients in the rice.
  8. Mix it well.
  9. Now your curd rice is ready to serve.

Cool the rice then add curds and mix well. Pour the seasoning onto the rice and curd mixture.
