- Prepare 7 Curry Leaves
- Make ready 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

Steps to make Ivygourd/Gherkin/Tendli Rice:
- Cook rice with enough water so that the grains remain separate. Spread the rice and cool down.
- Quarter vertically the ivy gourds. Cut each quarter into two pieces.
- Fry the ivy gourds in oil. Keep aside.
- Heat 1 tsp oil. Roast together the chanadal, urad dal, coriander seeds and cumin seeds. Remove from the pan and keep aside. Now roast the dry chillies. Remove and keep aside. Fry the tamarind bits. Remove and keep aside. Roast the grated coconut. Remove and keep aside. Now grind all these together into a coarse powder.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil. Pop up the mustard.
- Add in the hing powder and curry leaves.
- Now add the fried ivy gourd.
- Sprinkle the turmeric powder. Mix well.
- Add the ground masala powder and salt. Mix well.
- Add this to the cooled rice. Mix well.
- Offer Ivygourd rice to Lord Sri Krishna. Honor Krishna Prasadam.
