- Make ready 2 cup desiccated coconut
- Make ready 2 mangoes
- Prepare 1/4 cup sugar
- Take 1 pinch cardamom powder
- Prepare as required Chopped nuts
- Make ready 1 tsp ghee
Instructions to make Mango Coconut burfi:
- Take a pan and dry roast the desiccated coconut for almost 4-5 minutes on a low-medium flame.
- To make mango purée, In a blender jar add 2 mangoes (peeled and chopped) and sugar. Churn them together in a paste.
- Cook this mixture on a low flame for 5-7 minutes. This step is helpful in reducing the rawness of mangoes and to enhance the bright yellow colour of the mangoes.
- In next step, add this cooked mango purée to the roasted coconut & mix well. Cook this mixture on a medium flame till you get a fudge like consistency.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well again. Switch off the flame and let ut cool down a bit.
- Take some ghee and spread on the mould to set the burfi (fudge). Spread the mixture evenly in any mould & sprinkle chopped nuts over this & let it set for about 2 hours. After setting, cut it into squares or any other shape. Enjoy
