  2. Wash the Toor Dal and pressure cook the dal with turmeric for 2-3 whistles.
  3. Wash and chop the palak finely.
  4. Mash the cooked dal.
  5. In a pan heat oil, add mustard when they splutter add Jeera, asafoetida, hing, ginger,garlic, green chilli fry.
  6. Next add the chopped palak and fry for a few minutes.
  7. Now add the cooked dal and mix. Add salt to taste and bring to a boil.
  8. Heat ghee in a pan, add jeera, dry red chilli and red chilli powder. Pour the tadka over the prepared dal.
  9. Enjoy hot palak dal with chapathi, roti, rice.
