Steps to make Fruit cake:
- Pour dried mixed fruit into a bowl then pour over brandy/rum. Allow to soak for at least 6 hours.
- When ready to bake, set oven to 180 degrees centigrade. Butter an 8inch pan and dust with flour.

- Leave cake in the pan to cool for at least 20 minutes. Turn out from pan and allow to cool. Wrap cake and feed with brandy once a week.
- Spoon batter into pan and bake until cake is done (when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean)
