- Add prepared masala paste and give a good stir. boil for 5-8 minutes
- Add cooked dal
- Also add 2-3 cups of water to get desired consistency
- Add a small piece of jaggery
- Prepare the tempering and pour it to sambar
- Add few chopped coriander leaves and give a good mix
